Roobet vs Stake

Roobet vs Stake compares two of the oldest crypto casinos still at the top. Both are Curaçao-licensed and both grew on streamers, but Stake runs the bigger sportsbook and a published VIP ladder, while Roobet keeps its rewards rate private and pays out in small, frequent RooWards claims.

Roobet vs Stake at a glance

Roobet vs Stake is the comparison most Roobet players end up making, because the two sites chase the same audience. Stake launched in 2017 and has grown into the largest crypto casino and sportsbook, with sponsorships across UFC, Formula 1 and football. Roobet followed in 2019, built its reputation on Crash and a long line of streamer deals, and still feels casino-first despite adding a sportsbook, prediction markets and a Chelsea FC partnership for Latin America and Canada.

Both operators are based in Curaçao: Stake under Medium Rare N.V., Roobet under Raw Entertainment B.V. Both were named in Twitch's October 2022 gambling-stream ban and both now stream mostly on Kick. Both exclude the United States and the United Kingdom.

The real differences are rewards, sports depth and how much each site publishes. Stake sets out a VIP ladder you can plan around. Roobet pays rakeback every 30 minutes but does not say at what rate. If you play on both, the sister site stakemirrorlinks.com keeps working Stake mirror links the same way this site tracks Roobet addresses on the Roobet mirror list.

Both lobbies are large and carry the big studios, including Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Nolimit City and Play'n GO, plus live tables from Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live. Roobet's count is reported at around 7,000 titles from about 100 providers. Stake's is of a similar order. Roobet adds a Roobet Labs shelf of exclusive third-party games; Stake publishes its own exclusive releases with partner studios.

For most slot players this is a draw. Check that your favourite studio is not blocked in your country, which happens on both sites, and read the RTP in the game info panel. Our Roobet slots guide explains what to look for.

Originals and provably fair games

Stake has the bigger set of in-house games and a polished verifier for each.

Roobet's house games are fewer but distinctive. Crash is the site's signature. Roobet Roulette uses a 15-tile strip where red and black pay 2x, green 14x and two "bait" tiles 7x, and three greens in a row trigger the Triple Roo Jackpot. Towers has five difficulty settings up to "crazy" with three bombs in four tiles, and Mission Uncrossable is Roobet's take on a road-crossing game. Published returns are reported at about 99% for Dice and Plinko and lower for Mines and Crash.

Both sites let you check results with seeds. Our Roobet provably fair guide shows how.

Sportsbook

This is Stake's clearest advantage. Its book is broad, with deep in-play markets, bet builders and frequent boosts.

Roobet covers football, basketball, tennis, cricket, American football, ice hockey, MMA, boxing, horse racing and esports, with free bets at a 1.7 minimum price. It also offers prediction markets powered by Polymarket. For occasional bets on big events it is fine; for niche leagues and in-play depth, Stake is stronger.

Payments and withdrawals

Both cashiers are crypto-first and share the main coins: BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, SOL, TRX, DOGE, USDT and USDC. Roobet adds SUI and BNB and supports ETH on Base and Arbitrum.

Roobet goes further on fiat. Visa and Mastercard deposits run from $10 to $5,000, Swapped sells crypto from $10, and the help centre has guides for Interac, UPI, GCash, M-Pesa, PromptPay and many other local routes. It charges 1% on fiat deposits and 2% on fiat withdrawals from the tenth in 30 days; crypto withdrawals carry only the network fee. Our Roobet fees guide lists them.

One Roobet rule to know: every deposit must be wagered once in full before it can be withdrawn. See Roobet withdrawal limits.

VIP and rakeback

Stake publishes its ladder. Wagering $10,000 reaches Bronze, which unlocks rakeback, reloads and level-up bonuses, then Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond tiers with a VIP host higher up.

Roobet pays from the first bet but keeps the rate private. RooWards combine instant rakeback (claimable every 30 minutes), daily, weekly and monthly bonuses and a Vault that unlocks three times a day. Rakeboosts lift the rate for set periods after sign-up, rank-ups and claims. The VIP Club above the 30 ranks is invitation only. Our Roobet VIP guide has the detail, and our Stake review on the sister site covers Stake's ladder.

Low-volume players may get more from Roobet's early, frequent claims. High-volume players should compare the personal deals each site offers. Neither makes gambling profitable.

Licence and trust

Both licences are on the Curaçao Gaming Authority register under the 2024 direct-licensing system: Stake's OGL/2024/1451/0918 and Roobet's OGL/2024/687/0427. Roobet also appears under a separate Anjouan licence held by Ultima Spins Ltd, a company its own terms do not name.

A fair Roobet comparison also notes that Trustpilot removed its rating after finding fake reviews, and that its terms allow balances to be held during investigations. Curaçao offers fewer dispute routes than stricter regulators on either site.

Availability

Both exclude the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and other countries in their terms. Roobet's own list also names the Netherlands, Malta, Cyprus, Gibraltar and several Caribbean islands. Stake runs Stake.us for parts of the US; Roobet has no equivalent today.

Mirrors help when a working address is blocked or slow on your network, for example under a national DNS block, not when the brand does not accept your country. A VPN to hide your location breaks both sites' terms. See how to find a working Roobet mirror and our country guides.
