Roobet KYC verification: levels, documents and how long it takes
Roobet lets you sign up and deposit crypto without sending ID, but its terms make full verification a condition of withdrawing and let it ask for documents at any time. This guide covers Level 2 verification, the documents Roobet accepts, when checks are triggered, how long reviews take and why uploads get rejected.
What is Roobet KYC verification?
KYC ("know your customer") is the identity check every licensed casino runs to meet anti-money-laundering rules and confirm a player is old enough and allowed to play. At Roobet, KYC is handled by its compliance team under the terms of Raw Entertainment B.V., the Curaçao company that runs the site under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/687/0427.
The Roobet approach is "verify when asked". Opening an account needs an email, a username and a password, and crypto deposits work straight away. But the terms say Roobet may request documents at any time (clause 4.9, as quoted by independent reviews) and that full verification is a condition of withdrawal (clause 10.5). Roobet does not publish thresholds that trigger a check, so you cannot plan around a number.
The sensible approach is to treat verification as something you will need eventually. If you expect to withdraw a meaningful amount, doing Level 2 before you need it avoids a pending cash-out while documents are reviewed. If you want to understand exactly how far you can go without ID, the Roobet no-KYC guide covers that side.
Roobet verification levels explained
Basic account
Email confirmation and your account details. Enough to deposit crypto, play, claim RooWards rewards and, in many cases, request withdrawals until the compliance team asks for more.
Level 2: identity documents
This is the level Roobet documents in its help centre. You upload a government ID, front and back, and the compliance team checks it by hand. Level 2 is the check most players meet, usually around a withdrawal.
Enhanced checks
For larger or unusual activity, Roobet's AML policy allows further checks on where your money comes from. An older version of the policy (June 2022) described source-of-wealth reviews above €5,000; the current policy, as reported by casinos.org, says funds are checked "as and where appropriate". Expect requests for proof of address, bank or exchange statements, or proof of income or crypto origin in those cases.
Some account features also tie into verification. Birthday rewards are reported to need verified ID, and public chat needs two-factor authentication plus $500 wagered over the account's lifetime.

When does Roobet ask for verification?
Roobet keeps its triggers private, but player reports and its terms point to the usual set:
- A withdrawal request, especially a first large one or one that looks different from your history.
- Fiat payments. Card, bank and local payment routes run through Raw Entertainment Ltd in Cyprus and its payment partners, who carry their own checks. See the credit card deposit guide and bank transfer guide.
- Account mismatches: a name on a card that differs from the account, several accounts from one household or device, or logins from countries on Roobet's restricted list.
- Bonus and promotion checks, for example where several accounts appear to claim the same offer.
- AML reviews of large deposits followed by little play. Roobet's wagering rule (each deposit must be wagered 100% before withdrawal) exists for the same reason; the withdrawal pending guide explains how it affects cash-outs.
None of these mean you did anything wrong. Licensed operators are expected to check, and the request is often automatic.
How to verify your Roobet account, step by step
- Log in on roobet.com or an official mirror. Verification is tied to your account, not the domain, so any working address from the mirror list leads to the same settings.
- Open Account settings, then Verification. Roobet's help centre links the page directly as the verification tab of account settings.
- Choose a document: passport, driving licence or government-issued ID card.
- Upload the front and the back. Roobet asks for both sides, even for a passport where the back may be the next page; follow the on-screen prompt.
- Submit and wait for review. The compliance team reviews documents daily and contacts you after the manual review if anything else is needed.
- Answer follow-up requests by email or live support. If you are asked for proof of address or source of funds, send exactly what is requested.
Live support is open 24/7 from the menu under your username. It cannot approve documents itself, but it can tell you whether your upload is in the queue.
How long does Roobet verification take?
Roobet does not commit to a turnaround time. What it does say is that documents are reviewed daily, by hand. In practice a clear Level 2 upload is usually handled within a day or two; a request that leads to enhanced checks takes as long as it takes you to provide the extra paperwork and for compliance to read it.
Two things slow it down most: unclear uploads that must be redone, and withdrawal requests made during a review. Roobet's terms (clause 10.4, as reported) allow withdrawals to be held during an investigation, and there is no published processing time for that case. If timing matters, verify before you plan a large cash-out. The withdrawal time guide covers the rest of the cash-out timeline.
Why verification gets rejected
- Cropped or blurry images. All four corners and every line of text must be readable. Take the photo in daylight on a dark, plain surface.
- One side missing. Roobet asks for front and back.
- Expired documents. Use a current ID.
- Screenshots of scans or edited images. Filters, crops and digital edits look like tampering.
- Name or date mismatch. The account's details must match the document. If you registered with a nickname or wrong date of birth, contact support before uploading.
- Documents from a restricted country. Roobet's restricted list includes the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands and others; an ID from one of them can lead to account closure under the terms rather than approval.
Does Roobet KYC affect deposits and play?
While a check is open, Roobet can restrict deposits and withdrawals until you are verified, as independent reviews of its terms note. Play usually continues on existing balance. If an account is closed under clause 6.4 of the terms, Roobet can hold the balance at its discretion while it reviews, and disputes go to arbitration under Curaçao law. That is a reason to keep your account details accurate from the start rather than a reason to fear KYC.
Verification does not change your rewards: rakeback, daily, weekly and monthly claims and the Vault keep working as normal.
Is Roobet safe with your data?
Roobet is a Curaçao-licensed operator and handles ID under its privacy policy. As with any offshore casino, you are relying on the company's own security and the standards of its licensing authority rather than on a regulator in your own country. Practical steps that reduce risk:
- Turn on two-factor authentication with Authy or Google Authenticator, and save the recovery key Roobet gives you.
- Use a unique password and a dedicated email address.
- Add a watermark such as "For Roobet verification, October 2026" across a copy of your document if you are comfortable doing so, provided it does not cover any detail.
The Roobet review covers licensing, ownership and complaints in more depth.

FAQ
Does Roobet require KYC?
Not to sign up or deposit crypto. Roobet's terms let it request documents at any time and make full verification a condition of withdrawal, so most players who cash out are asked at some point.
What documents does Roobet accept for Level 2?
A passport, driving licence or government-issued ID card. Roobet asks for the front and back, uploaded on the Verification page of account settings.
How long does Roobet KYC take?
Roobet does not give a fixed time. Its compliance team reviews documents daily by hand, so a clear upload is usually handled quickly; enhanced checks take longer.
Can I withdraw from Roobet without verification?
Sometimes, until Roobet asks. The terms make verification a condition of withdrawal and there are no published thresholds, so you should expect a check at some point.
Why was my Roobet verification rejected?
The usual causes are blurry or cropped photos, a missing side, an expired document, or details that do not match the account. Re-upload clear, uncropped photos of both sides and contact live support if the names differ.
Does Roobet ask for proof of address or source of funds?
It can. Level 2 is the documented step, but Roobet's AML policy allows further checks on funds where appropriate, which can include statements or proof of address.
Can I verify on a Roobet mirror?
Yes. Your account and its verification page are the same on every official Roobet domain. Check the address against a trusted list before you upload any document.
Can I play while my Roobet verification is pending?
Usually yes with your existing balance, but Roobet may restrict deposits and withdrawals until the review is complete.
