Slow address or slow connection? How to read the numbers

Every row is a live timing from your device to that Roobet host. The pattern tells you more than any one number.

  • One host slow, others quick: the route to that domain is congested or filtered on your network. Switch to a quicker mirror and the lag usually goes.
  • Every host slow by a similar amount: your connection is the bottleneck. Mirrors will not help; the fixes further down will.
  • Hosts quick, games still laggy: the page loads fine, but the live parts (Crash rounds, live dealer streams, chat) run over separate connections that your browser, extensions or network are slowing down.
  • Fast on mobile data, slow on Wi-Fi: the Wi-Fi network, router or provider is the problem.

As a rough guide, under about 400 ms to the host is comfortable, up to about 1,000 ms is usable for slots and sports, and anything higher is risky for Crash, where timing decides whether a cash-out counts.

Why Roobet lags

Crash is the most timing-sensitive game on the site

Roobet's help centre is blunt about it: Crash depends on your connection to Roobet, rounds run in real time, and a cash-out pressed close to the crash point can arrive too late because of ordinary internet latency. If the round has already ended when your click reaches the server, the bet loses. Roobet refunds rounds hit by a site-wide or server-side fault automatically, but it does not refund misses caused by lag on the player's side.

Live connections are separate from the page

Balances, Crash, Roulette rounds, chat rains and the Vault timer all update over a live connection that stays open in the background. Ad blockers, privacy extensions, some antivirus "web shields" and some corporate networks interrupt that connection even when the page itself loads. The result looks like a frozen balance or a Vault claim button that spins.

Cloudflare checks on a flagged connection

If your IP address has a poor reputation, for example because it is shared with many users or comes from a VPN range, Cloudflare may challenge you repeatedly. Each challenge adds seconds and can break a game that is loading.

Busy moments

Big football nights, popular streamers pushing a featured game, the 00:00 UTC Daily reward reset and raffle draws all bring traffic spikes. Odds refresh more slowly in the sportsbook when markets are moving fast, and bets may be rejected while a market is suspended.

Heavy third-party games

Slots and live tables come from providers such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Hacksaw Gaming and Play'n GO, each loading from its own servers. One provider can be slow while Roobet's own pages are fine.

Fixes, in order

  1. Switch to the fastest mirror in the list above. This alone fixes most route problems.
  2. Close other tabs and downloads. Live dealer video and game streams compete for the same bandwidth.
  3. Clear Roobet's cache and cookies. Roobet publishes step-by-step guides for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Opera.
  4. Pause extensions that block scripts, trackers or ads on the Roobet domain.
  5. Use a wired connection or move closer to the router. Wi-Fi drops cause the small stalls that ruin Crash timing.
  6. Switch off VPNs and proxies. Roobet itself names them as a cause of poor connections, and using one to appear in another country breaks its terms.
  7. Change DNS to a public resolver if lookups are slow.
  8. Restart the browser and router to clear stuck connections.
  9. Use auto cash-out in Crash. Roobet recommends it because the target is set on the server before the round starts, so your lag cannot make you miss it.

Live casino stuttering and stream quality

Live dealer tables stream video continuously, so they show lag first. If the picture freezes while the rest of Roobet is fine:

  • Lower the stream quality in the table's settings menu.
  • Turn off "low latency" or "HD" modes on a weak connection.
  • Avoid joining a table late in a betting window; bets that arrive after the dealer closes betting are not accepted.
  • Try a different table from the same provider, or another provider altogether. Our live casino guide covers which studios Roobet carries.

A table that stutters on every network is usually a provider-side issue and normally clears within minutes.

Slow on mobile or from a home-screen shortcut

Roobet has no native app; on a phone you use the website or a shortcut saved to your home screen. Both run inside the phone's browser engine, so the same fixes apply.

  • Update the browser and the phone's operating system.
  • Turn off battery or data saver modes, which throttle background connections and freeze live balances.
  • If the shortcut points to a domain that is now slow, delete it and save a fresh one from a quick mirror.
  • Close the app switcher's old Roobet tabs; several open copies compete for the same connection.

More phone-specific fixes are on Roobet app not working.

When the slowness is on Roobet's side

If every address is slow for you, other sites are fast, and friends on other networks see the same lag, Roobet itself may be under load or in maintenance. Check the live Roobet status board, give it a few minutes, and avoid placing timing-sensitive bets until it settles. Payments are a separate system: a slow site does not mean your deposit or withdrawal is lost. If a payout is late, see Roobet withdrawal pending.

FAQ

Is Roobet slow right now?

Look at the timings at the top of this page. If one address is slow and the rest are quick, use a quicker mirror. If every address is slow, your connection is the more likely cause.

Why did my Crash cash-out not register?

Crash is played in real time, and a click made close to the crash point can arrive after the round has ended because of latency. Roobet refunds rounds hit by its own server faults automatically, but not misses caused by the player's connection. Auto cash-out avoids the problem.

Why is Roobet slow for me but fine for my friends?

Your route to Roobet differs from theirs. Your provider, Wi-Fi quality, DNS resolver or an extension can slow one domain without affecting others. Try a different mirror, then mobile data, to find which part is at fault.

Will a mirror make Roobet faster?

Often, yes, when the slowness comes from the route to one domain. A mirror reaches the same servers by a different name, which can avoid congestion or filtering. It does not help if your whole connection is slow.

Does a VPN fix Roobet lag?

Usually it adds lag, and Roobet lists VPNs and proxies as a cause of connection problems. Using one to appear in another country also breaks Roobet's terms and can get the account closed.

Why does the Roobet Vault or Daily claim button keep spinning?

The claim runs over Roobet's live connection. If an extension or network is interrupting it, the button waits for an answer that never comes. Refresh, pause extensions, and claim again; rewards that were already credited will not be lost.

Why are sportsbook odds slow to update?

Odds move fast during live matches, and markets are suspended briefly after big moments such as goals or wickets. A slow connection makes the delay worse, and a bet sent at old odds may be rejected or re-priced.

Can lag make me lose a bet?

In Crash and live dealer games, yes: a late action counts as no action. Slots, Dice, Mines and most other games resolve once you place the bet, so lag delays the animation but not the result.
